Song of the Week
Up until now, I’ve only written lyrics related to the game I’m developing, but this time I tried writing lyrics that are completely unrelated. I somehow felt like making a song that sounds like a boss battle in an RPG game, so I made it about battle (war). At first, I was writing lyrics about Julius Caesar crossing the Rubicon, using the famous line “The die is cast,” but I couldn’t get it to sound very good. I got tired of it, so I asked ChatGPT to turn it into a metal song with a revenge theme, and the result was the following lyrics. The song title is a reinterpretation of “Die” as “Death”.

The Generated Song
ChatGPT’s image of the song he has in mind is a Thrash Metal song with a BPM of around 200, with a dark feel like a game song like Devil May Cry 5 or Final Fantasy 16. To be honest, just looking at the lyrics, I couldn’t imagine what kind of song it was…I played around with it using Suno AI, but all it generated were some kind of lame metal song with a middle-aged man as the vocalist.
In the end, I decided that regular Thrash Metal wasn’t quite right for me, so I decided to go for a female vocalist and write a Style Description to make it sound more like an anime song. The resulting song is as follows:
