Reflections on Writing a Blog for Two Years

Essay

Overview

It has been just about two years since I started writing this blog regularly, so I’d like to summarize the content covered so far and outline my plans for the future.

What I Did in the Second Year

The biggest change in the content I’ve been writing since around June of last year is probably the massive surge in articles introducing songs created using Suno AI. Suno AI is a service that has truly amazed me, and I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. I’ve written about 40 blog posts on the topic, and I’ve uploaded about 60 songs to YouTube. Recently, it’s even become possible to create music videos with AI, and personally, I feel this content really showcases just how amazing AI can be.

Despite creating this much content, the articles about the songs I’ve made are hardly being read, and the YouTube videos aren’t getting that many views either. Since almost no one finds them through Google searches, the only way people seem to discover them is by stumbling upon them while reading other articles on my site. Well, personally, I’m surprised there are even any listeners at all… Still, it’s become a fun hobby for me, so I plan to keep creating and uploading songs.

Another project is the poker app I developed. It’s available on the Google Play Store under the name “Exotic Poker.” My goal is to make it a game app where users can actually try out the poker algorithms and strategies I’ve discussed on this blog, but so far, I feel the quality isn’t quite up to par. I plan to improve it gradually through future updates. I also plan to develop an iPhone version, but progress has fallen significantly behind schedule; I hope to have it ready for release sometime between August and October 2026.

Most of the articles I wrote in my second year were poker-related, and I plan to continue in this direction for a while longer. While this strays significantly from the blog’s original purpose as a math blog, I intend to get back on track eventually. Ultimately, I’d like to steer the blog back toward covering financial engineering, which is my area of expertise.

Future Goals

Here are the things I plan to do over the next year:

  • Add articles on theoretical analyses of poker
  • Create an e-book on poker
  • Revise and expand “Exotic Poker”
  • Plan and design an RPG game centered around poker
  • Create music using Suno AI and produce a music album

As I’ve planned from the start, I intend to continue writing articles on theoretical analyses of poker for a while longer, while preparing to compile them into an e-book. My goal is to have the e-book completed around 2028. My ultimate goal will be to compile a poker behavior algorithm that mimics human-like behavior. I’ll continue to refine and expand Exotic Poker, but I’m thinking of setting a timeframe of about one year for this as well and doing my best to get as far as I can within that period.

As I mentioned in a recent post, I’ve developed a desire to create an RPG game centered around poker—separate from Exotic Poker. I’m curious to see just how far I can take development using AI tools like Claude Code and Codex, so I hope to create an original game while learning how to use these tools.

I plan to continue creating music using Suno AI as I have been. Currently, I’m selecting about one song per week, but I might make some adjustments—either keeping this pace or slowing down a bit (to about once every two weeks). Also, since I plan to use these songs as background music in the RPG I hope to develop in the future, I’d like to increase the number of songs that sound like anime or video game themes. Eventually, I’d like to select my favorite tracks, compile them into a music album, and make the MP3 files available for download from this website, but I’ll wait until I’ve built up a larger collection of songs before making that selection.
